The manga, entitled Astro Boy, readily became a phenomenon upon its release in 1952. Since then, the mangaka, Ozamu Tezuka, had been considered to be the Father of Modern Manga.
Born in Osaka Prefecture, Ozamu Tezuka grew up in the another city, Takarazuka in Hyogo Prefecture. Because of that, a memorial museum was established to honor this revered artist. Named the Ozamu Tezuka Manga Museum, the place have been commemorating this man's greatest achievements since 1994.
Welcoming guests is the Phoenix monument in front of the museum. Aside from displays, the place also features a reading room where everyone can enjoy reading his works. There are also merchandise present in the area.
