Nobuyuki Anzai is the creator of the highly successful manga, Flame of Recca.  The manga follows the story of a teenage boy named Recca Hanabishi, who claims to be a ninja. Later, he discovers that he has the power to control fire. The manga has spawned an anime version and video games.

Nobuyuki Anzai also created another manga called MÄR, which is about a boy named Ginta Toramizu, who gets stuck in a world he has only heard in fairy tales.

Anzai became an assistant to Kazuhiro Fujita, who created the manga Ushio and Tora. 

He was born on August 19, 1972 in Chiba Prefecture, Japan.
