Nobuhiro Watsuki is a Japanese mangaka mostly renowned for creating the phenomenal samurai-themed manga-turned-anime series, Rurouni Kenshin: Meiji Swordsman Romantic Story. He is also known for the western series Gun Blaze West, the supernatural series Buso Renkin, and the horror manga Embalming -- The Another Tale of Frankenstein.

He was influenced by his older brother who drew manga as well. He draws inspiration from Marvel comics like X-Men, Spider-Man, and Spawn. He has been a prolific writer since high school. He is notable for being a shonen mangaka but has mastered the Multiple Demographic Appeal, which was the reason for the success of Rurouni Kenshin.
