Founded by Masao Maruyama, this 7-year old animation studio in Japan, Mappa, has been the home of your favorite animes, like, Hajime no Ippo: Rising, and your most loved figure skaters, Yuri on Ice. The photo shows the time sheet used by the studio during the animation process.
What can be considered as one of the latest and biggest projects of the studio is the full-length film, In this Corner of the World. Directed by Sunao Katabuchi, the movie depicts the Hiroshima prefecture, before and after the historimcal atomic bombing.
Maruyama was also one of the founders of an older Japanese animation studio, Madhouse Inc. Established in 1972, Madhouse was the studio behind Death Note, Trigun, Paprika and One-Punch Man.
