Kenshi Hirokane, who popular for his works Human Crossing, Like Shooting Stars in the Twilight, Division Chief Kosaku Shima, and Kaji Ryuusuke’s Agenda, is a Japanese manga artist and screenwriter from Iwakuni, Yamaguchi Prefecture. He finished his studies from Waseda University with a degree of law. Before he became a manga artist, he worked in advertising for Matsushita Electric.
Kenshi Hirokane is known for addressing social issues in his works. He is also known as the creator of the award-winning manga, Human Crossing and the best-selling manga, Hello Hedgehog.
He received numerous awards such as 1985 Shogakukan Manga Award for Human Crossing, 1991 Kodansha Manga Award for his work, Kacho Kosaku Shima, an Excellence Prize for his work Like Shooting Stars in the Twilight, and his debut story, Kaze Kaoru was nominated for the Shogakukan Big Comic Awards.
