One of the famous Japanese actresses in Hollywood was Keiko Kitagawa. She was born on August 22, 1986, and raised in Kobe. At first, she wanted to become a doctor and when she reached high school she went undecided in her medical career. By this time, a talent agency, scouted Keiko to try the entertainment career. Initially, her parents opposed her decision to enter entertainment but later agreed on the condition that she finish her study and quit if she didn't make a progress in a year.
After her recent joining in the agency, the talent committee selected her as Miss Seventeen 2003 which propagated her career in the modelling industry. She assumed a role as Rei Hino in Sailor Moon - a TV series. This role was the beginning of Keiko's acting career. Another film - Mamiya Kyodai - made a debut for her acting career. Upon the influence of director Yoshimitsu Morita, Keiko focused on acting instead of modelling. After living and working in Tokyo as a model and actress, Keiko went to California to join the film - The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift. Her other famous films include Dear Rfirends, Mop Girl and Buzzer Beat.
