The author of the historical shoujo 1945, Keiko Ichiguchi, is a Japanese cartoonist, writer, and translator. She graduated in the Italian Language at Osaka University of Foreign Studies.  

Keiko Ichiguchi had a passion for manga especially in shojo manga ever since she was a little girl. She made her debut in 1988 as a cartoonist. Her first comic book that was published in Italy is called Oltre la porta (Beyond the Door).  She then translated different Japanese comics in Italian and work as a cartoonist/writer with Italian, Belgian-French and Japanese publishers.
