Hitomi Kanzaki and Van Fanel of the all-time favorite 90s anime series, the Vision of Escaflowne, would not be the way they were if not for a man named Kazuki Akane.
Being the director who brought Escaflowne to the world, he used to work in Sunrise studio, which produced the mecha of Fanelia. Later on in his career, he went freelance.
He also directed some series and movies of the Mobile Suit Gundam. He was also a storyboard artist for the Cowboy Bebop series. One of his latest and notable works is Code Geass: Akito the Exiled.
