Inio Asano is the Japanese manga author who created the manga series, Solanin. It was released as a feature film directed by Takahito Miki and starred by Aoi Miyazaki in Japan in April 2010.

Because of his character-driven and realistic stories, Inio Asano banged the first prize in GX competition in 2001 and dubbed as "one of the voices of this generation". He was also the author of other manga such as Goodnight Punpun and A Girl on the Shore.
