Hirohiko Araki is the mastermind behind the long-running series JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure. He was born on June 7, 1960 in Sendai, Japan.

Araki's first manga was called "Poker Under Arms" and was a “Selected Work” in the Tezuka Awards, a semi-annual award for manga by the publisher Shueisha.
His most popular and successful manga is JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, that has sold over 100 million copies worldwide. It was featured in the magazine Weekly Shonen Jump. It is set in 1880’s England, and is about Jonathan Joestar and his adopted brother, Dio Brando.
