Hayao Miyazaki is one of Japan's master animators of all time.
He started his career in Toei Animation in 1963, working on names like Gulliver's Travels Beyond the Moon, wherein the ending was pitched in by Miyazaki. He continued his career with titles like Panda! Go Panda!, and Tokyo Giants.
His first feature film was The Castle of Cagliostro, a Lupin the Third story, which is released in 1979. Five years later, after the success of his next movie, Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind, he co-founded the phenomenal Studio Ghibli.
With Studio Ghibli, he released the movie Spirited Away in 2001, which won Japan its first Academy Award for Best animated feature in 2003.
