"Death Note: Light Up the New World film" was released in 2016. The movie was directed by Shinosuke Sato. It is based on the anime and manga series, Death Note.

The user of the Death Note will have the power to kill people, by just writing their name on it. There are 6 Death Notes that fell from the sky, and 6 people can have the power of the notebooks. The successor of L, will start investigating about these new Death Notes.
