Also known as the Comic Market, Comiket is Japan's biggest exhibition of manga and other doujinshi or published works. The event is held twice every year: around August and December. The August event is sometimes called NatsuComi, coming from the Japanese word for summer, natsu. The December falls on winter, which is fuyu in Japanese. Hence, the December comiket is called FuyuComi. The event is usually held in Tokyo Big Sight in Odaiba.
Items sold at Comiket are most of the time considered premium and rare. This is because most of the anime items printed for sale at the event are never printed again. The event is brought to us by the Comic Market Preparatory Committee (ComiketPC).
