Clannad is a story about Tomoya Okasaki, a not-so-good high school student, who has changed the lives of five girls he has met during the last year of his school.

Clannad was orignally released, on April 28, 2004, as a visual novel made by the company, Key, for Windows PC. After that, versions for other consoles were released like that of Play Station 2, Play Station Portable, Xbox 360, Play Station 3 and Play Station Vita.

It was later on adapted onto other media. The book was published in 2004. The manga was serialized starting 2005. A film and some drama CDs were released in 2007. The anime series, which also started on the same year, featured Nagisa, Tomoya's love interest.
