Last August 10, 2017,  the  official Pokémon Youtube channel streamed an introduction video for its Pokkén Tournament DX fighting game, which included a playable Charizard (Lizardon). 

The original Pokkén Tournament fighting game for Wii U has been launched by Bandai Namco Entertainment and Nintendo in North America, Europe, and Japan. This version features 16 playable Pokemons. 

A Nintendo Switch game has also been released, which features additional playable Pokemons like Darkrai, Scizor, Empoleon, Croagunk and Decidueye. These characters are all updates from the arcade version of the game.

Physical and digital copies of the game are now available in the market.
