Pop Japan

One of the largest anime events in Japan have merged the Tokyo International Anime Fair and Anime Contents. AnimeJapan is a Japanese consumer show which was held for the first time at the Tokyo Big Sight in 2014. Everything anime can be found in the event, from business like selling merchandise, to entertainment aspects such as new anime releases.

There were roughly 145 companies and more than 600 booths in the Tokyo Big Sight for the 2-day event. Anime Japan is organized mainly by the Anime Japan Executive Committee which is comprised of 19 companies like Bandai Visual, Toei Animation, Sunrise, etc.

The overall attendance of Anime Japan in 2014 was 111,252.
