Developed by Yamaha, Vocaloid is a software that enables users to create a song without the user having to literally sing. It is a voice synthesis technology and software. To create a song, the user must only do 2 steps. First, you input a melody and then the lyrics. And the software will sing it for you. The synthesizer is thus called, a singer in a box.

There are different genres of the vocaloids as well. There are the hilarious songs, the depressing songs, terrifying songs and the heartwrenching vocaloid songs. Some of the most heartwrenching vocaloid songs are Feathers Across The Seasons, Just be Friends, From Y to Y, Kokoro, Last Night Good Night and Heart A La Mode.
