Koki Kameda used to be the World Boxing Association (WBA) bantamweight Champion and former World Boxing Council (WBC) lineal flyweight champion. He is the eldest of three brothers, all of whom have the same sports: all are boxers. His younger brothers are Daiki and Tomoki. Altogether, they own the Kameda Promotions, a boxing promoter in Japan.
Koki Kameda was discovered in the year 2000, when he was still 14 years old. He had an exhibition match with then inaugural WBC minimum weight champion, Hiroki Ioka. Ioka was also then the former WBA lightflyweight champion. Kameda managed to give a left straight and a right hook to Ioka, and was thought to bring him a first round knockdown against Ioka, but the referee during the time said it was just a slip.
On May 7, 2017, Koki Kameda, in partnership with AbemaTV , will be having a five-hour event entitled, “10 Million Yen If You Beat Koki Kameda.” This is part of the celebration of the live streaming service of AbemaTV. So if you are under 175 centimeters tall (5 feet 9 inches) and weighing under 70 kilograms (154 pounds), send in your name, age, address, job, height, weight, reason for entering, and why you would be a good contender along with an attached photo to: firstname.lastname@example.org.
