"I don't have intentions of using those showy (manga) lines in real life, but each night, I'm studiously, secretly practicing them in the bath."
Weekly Shounen Jump, by the Jrock band Radwimps, is the band's musical ode to the magazine that has been making children's and adult's dreams come true since 1968. This newest song from the band, included in their latest album entitled Human Bloom, has all the lyrics that will make all the Weekly Shounen Jump children cry because of nostalgia.
Weekly Shounen Jump is one of Japan's premiere manga magazines, that gave life to famous names like One Piece, Naruto and Dragonball. As translated by Rocket News 24, here are some of the lines in the songs that will surely turn back time:
"It’s cooler when the hero pulls out a victory after getting beaten and bloodied, right? So even though my heart’s been taking a beating, I keep dreaming."
“This is where the hero finally starts his rise to glory. Even when his pride is wounded and bleeding, he clings to it strongly, ever more strongly.”
"So the boy stands up, and shouts as loud as he can. And finally the door bursts open and the light shines in."
