In the northern coast of Lake Kawaguchiko in Yamanashi Prefecture is where Oishi Park is located. It is one of the best spots to view Mt. Fuji with a flowing water of the lake.
The flowers in the park has a total length of 350 meters. Flowers bloom depending on the season, during late April is the Tulip, narcissus and rape; Early May is the pink carpet of moss phloz; Late June to early October is the Niagara Falls of flower and in the middle of October is the Bassia scoparia.
It will be a relaxing day while viewing the amazing scenery of Mt. Fuji and the wide lake while embracing the smell of the fresh flower around the park, taking pictures is also allowed!
The park is popular by its lavander flowers and the best time to witness this is from late June through early July. Kawaguchiko Herb Festival on June 19 to July 12 is held in this park with special events, there are several stalls selling foods and herbs, fruits and vegetable.
It's a 5-10-minute walk from Kawaguchiko Shizen Seikatsukan (Kawaguchiko Line).
The park is open anytime.

The Kawaguchiko Herb Festival starts at 9:00 to 17:00.
